Abstract

A REVIEW ON MANAGEMENT OF ASTHMA PATIENTS

ABSTRACT

The study carried out to determine the effect of drug therapy in asthmatic patients. It is mainly explain the up to date information about how to take the medications in asthmatic condition & frequency of dose, route of administration, epidemiology, signs & symptoms, pathophysiology of asthmatic patients. This article describes strongly recommended regardingthe management of asthma. Asthma consists of acute and sub-acute episodes of progression worsening of breathless ness, chest pain, coughing, wheezing any combination. In a post marketing surveillance safety studies by the food and drug administration. The clinical symptoms of asthma is mainly recurrent wheezing, cough, recurrent difficulty breathing. The diagnosis of asthma is mainly lung function tests like spirometry, chest or sinus xray, peak air flow. The management of asthma includesthe use of control agent’s anticholinergics, inhaled corticosteroids, long acting bronchodilators, more recent studies specific immunological therapy (Immunoglobin E), leukotriene modifiers, mast cell stabilizers. Quick relief medications of asthma such as short acting beta-2 agonists (SABA), systemic corticosteroids.
