ALGAL TAXA AT BANGANGA PROJECT IN OSMANABAD DISTRICT OF MAHARASHTRA

ABSTRACT

During the present study the members of chlorophyaceae, and cyanophyaceae were noted from the study area. The algal taxa recorded from the Banganga Project were presented in the present communication. These were viz. Coelastrum cambricum var. intermedium, Desmidium bengalicum Turner, Euastrum Spinulosum, Gloeotaenium lolitlesbergerianum Hansgirg, Lyngbya martensiama Menegh ex. Gomont., Oscillatoria rubescens Dc. ex Gomont, Plectonema radiosum (Schiederm) Gomont, Stigonema informe Kutz ex Born. et Flah, Staurastrum gracile v. kriegeri Scott and Prescott, Closterium littorale Gay, Asterococcus limneticus G.M. Smith and Arthrodesmus convergens Ehrneb.
