ABSTRACT

In forensic crime investigation it was found that many cases belonging to suicidal poisoning are due to use of pesticide. To investigate type of poison in particular poisoning case the identification of poison is the first priority of forensic expert. The first duty of forensic expert is extraction and identification of poison sample collected from clothes, viscera, soil sample etc. The extraction of poison from soil sample is quite difficult task. Here we developed newer methodology for extractions of Dichlorovos pesticide from soil sample.Pesticides that mix into soil are mostly present in the form of solid phase. As pesticide mixes into soil it undergoes physical or chemical changes. In the present work a new method is developed for extraction. The ethereal solution of EMIM hydroxide is the better solvent to extract the Dichlorovos pesticide residue from soil. We also studied the effect of temperature on pesticide. The identification of residual extract was optimized, validated and applied to real sample for analysis with different sophisticated techniques.
