Abstract

KARYA KARANA SIDDHANT IN THE AETIOPATHOGENESIS OF UDARDA (URTICARIA): A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Darshanika Karya Karana Siddhant has its utility not only in Ayurveda but also in scientific world. Different outlooks regarding Karya Karana Siddhant have been applied extensively by our Aacharyas for the sake of elimination of diseases and distress. In aetiopathogenesis of diseases Doshas should be considered as Samvayi Karana, Dosha-Dushya Sammurchana should be viewed as Asamvayi Karana and Trividharoga Aayatan may be regarded as Nimitta Karana. Knowledge of Karya Karana Siddhant helps to achieve the ultimate goal of Ayurveda that is maintenance of health of healthy individuals and freedom from the diseases of the diseased individuals. An attempt has been made to understand the fundamental concept of Karya Karana Siddhant in the aetiopathogenesis of Udarda (Urticaria).
