ABSTRACT

A series of new 7-heterocyclic substituted-4-methylquinolin derivatives were synthesized. Different derivatives were synthesized using unique techniques. Purity of synthesized compound was checked by TLC and structures were elucidated by their IR, 1H NMR and Mass data. The synthesized compounds were screened for anti-microbial and anti-tubercular activities. Furthermore docking studies were carried out using Inositol-3- phosphate synthase enzyme (1gro) of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. All the products showed good binding scores with respective receptors, Sr-2 showed maximum binding score with the target receptor. Moreover Compound Sr-5, Sr-6 and Sr-7 showed better anti tubercular activity and Sr-3 Sr-7 Sr-8 showed better antibacterial activity when compared to standard drugs.

Keywords: 4-methylquinolin, Docking, Inositol-3- phosphate synthase, Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
