Abstract

TASTE MASKING OF ZOPICLONE USING CATION EXCHANGE RESIN

ABSTRACT

The Aim of the present work is to taste masking of highly bitter drug zopiclone. Taste masking of Zopiclone were prepared by batch complexation process using Ion exchange resin. Cation exchange resin suitable for taste masking of zopiclone and resinate preparation by using batch method. Interaction was studied by IR and DSC thermal analysis. The Resinate were evaluated for drug content, In vitro release studies. The In vitro dissolution study was carried out for 1 hours using dissolution apparatus in phosphate buffer pH 6.8 for evaluation of taste masking. and 0.1N HCl for evaluation of Drug release. According to the dissolution results, batches were found to be the most successful taste masking.
