COACERVATION METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF CURCUMIN MICRO PARTICLES USING NATURAL POLYMER CASEIN

ABSTRACT

The present review addresses briefly about the floating coacervation method for preparation of curcumin micro particles using natural polymer casein. Novel drug delivery systems have various advantages over other conventional drug therapy. Advances in polymer science have lead to the development of novel delivery systems. Natural polymers may generally be considered safer than synthetic polymers. Thus, natural polymers have positive advantages as drug delivery carriers. Drug delivery systems based on food proteins hold much promise because of their high nutritional value and outstanding functional properties, including emulsification, foaming and water binding capacity as well as their applications as ingredients in the food industry.
