ANALYSIS OF THE COST OF THE MOST RESOURCE CONSUMING DIAGNOSES, PAID BY PUBLIC FUNDS FOR RARE DISEASES

ABSTRACT

Objective of the study is to undertake a comparative cost analysis for therapy of rare diseases and oncological diseases, such diagnoses in outpatient care, paid by National health insurance fund (NHIF) for 2014 to 2013 years. Collected are published official data for the period 2013-2014 years. The analysis for the period January 2014 - In October 2014 shows growth of the amount paid by the NHIF, and this trend continued throughout the year, despite the imposed administrative measures and legislative changes to limit costs paid by the Community Fund. The reason for this is the inclusion of new medicines and increase the number of patients with resource diagnosis for which treatment NHIF pays.
