PHARMACOVIGILANCE STUDY OF VACCINE

ABSTRACT

Pharmacovigilance study of vaccine means “ADR reporting of vaccine. Adverse drug reaction are fourth to six leading cause of death among hospitalized patients, and reporting and prevention of the adverse effects are more important in case of vaccine .vaccine are immunized preparation and they prevent the disease by providing active immunity, and prevent the spreadability of disease. Pharmacovigilance study of vaccines are carried out in phase 4 clinical trials. the main AIM of pharmacovigilance study of vaccine is to detect rare and unexpected adverse event which may occur due to antigen delivered in a single injection and early detection of an adverse event following immunization in order to minimize negative effects to the health of individuals and lessen the potential negative impacts on immunization of the population. According to WHO there are a large number of incidences of side effects with the vaccines and they can prevented by a detailed study of pharmacovigilance study.
