ABSTRACT

Sea water salination plants have been built in water stressed countries to solve the water crisis problem and the construction of desalination plants are increasing in future. Fresh water is a finite and vulnerable resource, essential to sustain life, economic development, and the environment. Population growth and changes in climate have created an increasing demand for fresh water around the world. Desalination of ocean and brackish water is a solution to global climate change and clean water shortages. Advanced technologies of desalination make it both economically viable and environmentally sustainable without compromising plant productivity.
