Abstract

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF NIZATIDINE SOLID DISPERSIONS

ABSTRACT

The present study aims to formulate and evaluate solid dispersion of Nizatidine with Eudragit E100. The solid dispersions of drug with Eudragit E100 were prepared by solvent evaporation method and spray drying method and evaluated for solubility, percentage yield, drug content, FTIR, SEM and DSC and dissolution studies. The compatibility studies revealed that there is no interaction between the drug and polymer. SEM studies revealed that the solid dispersions are crystalline and cylindrical in shape.
