Abstract

ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF HYDROXYTRIAZENES, SCHIFF’S BASE AND THEIR TERNARY COMPLEXES OF ZINC (II) WITH SCHIFF’S BASE AND HYDROXYTRIAZENES

ABSTRACT

The biological activity of hydroxytriazenes, Schiff’s base and their ternary complexes of zinc (II) with Schiff’s base and hydroxytriazenes have been evaluated against E.coli, P.mirabilis, S.aureus and S.faecalis by pathogenicity tests.These tests were carried out by cup or agar well assay method.The antibacterial activity of mixed ligand metal complexes revealed enhanced activity of complexes as compared to corresponding ligands.
