VIKARA VIGHATA BHAVA AND ABHAVA –A REVIEW AND ITS CLINICAL APPLICABILITY

ABSTRACT
In Ayurveda, all the disease manifestation is explained in terms of dosha(morbid humors and dushyas(body elements), in their normalcy as well as abnormalcy. Diseases manifest due to nidana(causative factors) which may be of aharaja nidana(food), viharaja nidana(activities) or ubhaya (both). That is why in treatment aspect also nidana parivarjana(avoiding causative factor) of the diseases is mentioned as first line of treatment by our acharya. so the factors which suppresses the manifestation of diseases is known as Vikara vighata bhava and those factors which provoke the manifestation of diseases is known as Vikara vighata abhava. so in this article the better understanding regarding these two above said factors and its usage in
clinical practise will be highlighted.
