ANTI OXIDANT ACTIVITY OF THE COMBINED ETHANOLIC EXTRACTS OF BARK OF THE PLANTS HEMIDESMUS INDICUS AND FICUS RELIGIOSA

ABSTRACT
Hemidesmus indicus is a member of the Apocynaceae family and
Ficus religiosa is a member of the moraceae family, are used in folk
medicine for different types of diseases. The purpose of the present
study is to investigate the anti oxidant activity of the ethanolic extract
of bark of plants H. indicus and F. religiosa. The antioxidant activity of
combined ethanolic extract was done by using the DPPH method
against the standard ascorbic acid. Here the extract shows activity at
higher concentration against the standard ascorbic acid.
