EFFECTS OF SELECTED INDIAN FOLKLORE MEDICINAL PLANT ON RAT MODEL OF PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA INDUCED LUNG INFECTION

ABSTRACT
To analyses the lung protective medicinal plant such as Helianthus annuus, Cordia dichotoma, Leucas plukenetii, Coix dichotomain on rat model of Pseudomonas aeruginosa induced lung infection. To assay the biochemical tests taking place in the experimental animals before and after the treatment with the above said plant extracts and will be compared with the standard antibacterial agent. If the herbs are identified to be effective in reducing lung infection, then it would be possible to pass it to the medical community to use them to overcome the problem of such pathogenic isolates in a better manner compared to the present status, after fulfilling the safety standards. The results have
clearly indicated that the plant extract could be used as an effective medicine for lung infection after investigation related to toxicity of those extracts.
