A MINIREVIEW OF AN OPPURTUNISTIC PATHOGENCHRYSEOBACTERIUM SP

ABSTRACT
Chryseobacterium sp are Gram Negative bacilli. They are isolated from water system and wet medium of hospital environment. These are generally isolated in immunocompromised patients. They should be considered as a potential pathogen in newborns in the presence of invasive equipment or on treatment with broad-spectrum antibiotics. Appropriate infection control measures such as changing equipment concerned with humidifying of administering gases and thorough hand washing may prevent infection with opportunistic pathogen.
